How it works

From Tuesday's blackout
to a system that fits.

Three steps. We don't sell solar systems. We don't take installer commissions. We just make sure you know exactly what you need before any installer quotes you.

01

Tell us what you run

Pick the appliances you actually use. We size your solar and battery on real usage — no padding, no oversizing.

02

Get your spec sheet

A clear PDF: your system size, a fair price range, an installer checklist, and red flags to watch for. Yours to keep, share, or send to any installer.

03

Pick your installer

Take the spec sheet to any installer in Lagos. Get at least three quotes. Use the checklist to compare them. You stay in control of the conversation.

For the Diaspora

Buying solar for family back home?

You're in Houston. Your mum is in Surulere. The diesel WhatsApp messages have started again, and you've sent ₦200k for "fuel money" three months running. Or you're in London — your dad is tired of the generator giving up every other week, but you don't trust anyone to quote him fairly.

Use the tool. Generate the spec sheet. Send it to him on WhatsApp. He takes it to three installers in his area. You see every quote. You stay in control of the numbers — without flying back, and without anyone overcharging.

Built for the Lagos–London–Houston three-way WhatsApp chat.

Why IsaKiel

Same 6kW system. ₦4M from one installer.
₦11M from the next.

Both will swear it's "premium quality." That's the Lagos solar market in 2026 — counterfeit panels with stickers from Jinko, handwritten one-year warranties on a receipt, installers who collect 100% upfront and disappear. We can't fix the whole market. But with the right spec sheet and a handful of sharp questions, you can walk in informed.

How we make money — upfront, so you're never surprised. The tool is free for you and always will be. We take no commission and we don't sell your data. Later, we'll charge verified installers a flat fee to be listed in our directory — never to change, bias, or influence the spec sheet we build for you. If paid listings ever appear, you'll know exactly what they are.

Right-sized, not over-sized

Most "free quotes" oversize your system to sell you more. We use a diversity factor of 0.8 and only count what you actually run on a normal Tuesday. You get the system you need, not the biggest one they can sell.

You never pay us a kobo

The tool is free, full stop. We're not on any installer's payroll. No commissions. No "preferred partner" deals. We plan to make money later by charging verified installers to be listed — never by influencing your spec sheet.

The checklist that pays for itself

Every spec sheet comes with our "How to Buy Smart" guide: six questions to ask any installer, five red flags that mean walk away, and the payment-stage rule that has saved Lagos buyers millions. The guide alone is worth more than most paid quotes.

Why we built this

In 2024, a family member of ours paid ₦9M for a 6kW system in Magodo. The same setup, same brand panels, was being installed in Yaba two weeks later for ₦4.2M. The "premium" installer never picked up his phone after the cheque cleared. The panels turned out to be unbranded. The battery failed within fourteen months. We built IsaKiel so the next person in his position has the numbers to push back.

Step 1 of 5
Step 1 · Property

What kind of property is this for?

This helps us show you the right appliances. Whether it's a home in Surulere or a shop in Computer Village, we just need to know what we're sizing.

HomeHouse or apartment
ShopRetail or showroom
OfficeSME or co-working
FactoryWorkshop or warehouse

We'll show you the most common appliances for your property type next — you can always add more.

Step 2 · Loads

What do you want to power?

Tap what you need to run. You can adjust hours and quantity once selected.

You don't run every appliance at the same time, so we account for that automatically. This keeps the system from being oversized.

Step 3 · Grid power

How is your grid power?

"NEPA bands" classify customers by their typical daily supply under the official service-based tariff (SBT) system. Pick the one that matches your experience.

Which NEPA band are you on?

A 20–24 hrs/day Premium power — Lekki, VI, Ikoyi, GRAs
B 16–20 hrs/day Good supply — better-served middle-class areas
C 12–16 hrs/day Average Nigerian supply
D 8–12 hrs/day Poor supply — underserved areas
E 4–8 hrs/day Very unreliable — rural or weak grid
? Not sure I'll set the hours myself

Do you have a backup generator?

Most Nigerian solar setups work alongside a gen. Tells us about your overall power setup.

Step 4 · Timeline

When are you thinking of installing?

Step 5 · Almost done

Where should we send your spec sheet?

Drop your email and we'll send the full PDF straight to your inbox. Add your WhatsApp and we'll text you the link too — handy for forwarding to family or contractors. No spam.

What we'll send: your spec sheet PDF to your email (if you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder). If you opt in below, we may also send you one WhatsApp message when we onboard verified installers covering your area (this depends on installer rollout in your area). Reply STOP at any time. We never sell your data. If you skip: you still get the spec sheet on the next screen — no questions asked.

Your privacy. We use your details only to send your spec sheet and (if you opted in) notify you when local installers join. We don't sell your data, and we won't spam you. Read our privacy notice and terms of service.
